GROGAR'S CONVOLUTED CRUISE
We have an update on the trans-Pacific journey of Grogar and the plush d20! The container ship Cosco Italy set sail from Shanghai on January 29th. It arrived at the port of Long Beach, California, on February 14th. This is an LCL (less than container-load) shipment, meaning Grogar and his dice had company inside the container on their ocean voyage.
The date of January 29th is important, because our shipment left before new tariffs (import taxes) were imposed on goods coming from China, which I see confirmed on the customs Entry Summary. We were just under the wire!
LCL shipments go to a warehouse where the container is opened and the different loads inside are sorted and eventually forwarded to their ultimate destinations. This means LCL shipments can take a lot longer than FCL (full container-load), where an entire 20-foot or 40-foot metal box is delivered straight to our doorstep.
GROGAR ARRIVES MONDAY!
According to the latest tracking information, delivery of our plushies is now predicted to be this coming Monday, March 10th. Yes, that means that transportation within the United States has taken longer than the ocean journey from China. Welcome to logistics!
We want to get you the final installment of your Enigma rewards as soon as we can. However, our warehouse is in the midst of fulfilling Vicious Gardens, a board game that had a tremendous Kickstarter success as an independent project. Atlas Games is handling North American fulfillment and then we'll be selling it as its new publisher, into our usual distribution channels. Viscous Gardens is moving right along, but it's a big project, and changing gears mid-fulfillment doesn't work well. The good news is that our warehouse is already staffed up with temporary help for the large project and really humming. I expect that it will only take 1-2 days for the crew to get all of the plushies packed and labeled when their turn comes.
UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS NOW!
In the meantime, we want to offer one last chance to update addresses. Almost all our backers have filled in surveys, had orders and addresses locked, and received all rewards except the plushies. We know that some people may have moved in the last three months; however, changing the shipping address after shipping some rewards requires our manual intervention in BackerKit. So if you have moved, please send an e-mail to [email protected] with your new address no later than Thursday, March 13th. You can log into Backerkit to confirm your current delivery address.

Grogar Has Booked a Boatride!

Grogar will soon be safely seasick when he boards a freighter on Jan 27! We're crossing our fingers that nothing delays him, because Chinese New Year starts on the 29th, which would slow down his trip considerably.
He and the Steampunk D20 plush should arrive at the port of Long Beach CA on Feb 10th, and then travel by truck to us in Minnesota by the end of February. So we're looking at them both dropping on your doorstep as soon as mid-March. Keep your fingers crossed that he has a delightfully dull journey!

PLUSHIES FINISHING PRODUCTION
The Grogar and Steampunk D20 plushies are currently finishing mass production and waiting for their recycled bags for packaging. We expect them to ship to us very soon. Allowing time for freight in transit, we expect to send these out to you in February.

Enigma Books Almost Here!
Tracking tells us that the Enigma books are now in the Chicago area! They'll be coming off a train for final truck delivery to us in Minnesota by sometime late next week, we expect.
We'll be locking addresses in Backerkit next Monday, so NOW is the time to check in and make sure your delivery information is accurate. If you haven't filled in the survey yet, of course, please do.

Enigma Printing Wrapping Up!
The Enigma books, stickers, and posters are all done printing! We've been waiting for a confirmed booking for ocean freight, which we now have:
This is a less-than-container-load (LCL) shipment. Our goods will be in a shipping container combined with others. This takes longer in transit than full containers, because the mixed-content container will be opened up in Los Angeles and then the pallets inside will be sent off to their final destinations all over the country. As usual, these projected dates should be taken with a grain of salt, but the ETA at this moment is for it to arrive at our warehouse on December 2nd.
Also, the Grogar and Steampunk D20 plushies are finishing with mass production now, and should be ready to ship to us soon. We've almost managed to catch up to the books!
